ReplyIt's time the media does it's job. It's time to dispel this notion that raising taxes on rich people is somehow going to crash the economy or destroy jobs. It's nonsense!!
Tax cuts for rich people has nothing to do with jobs, in fact after more than a decade of tax cuts for rich people the jobs market has only broken even from the 2006 collapse. There is just no proof that raising taxes is going to hurt anyone, but there is proof that it can reduce our deficit. If Republicans are truly serious about reducing our deficit than they are going to have to consider raising taxes on rich people.
I am am very interested to know what it is to be a Republican. What do they stand for?

On the article New Poll Shows Warren With Her Biggest Lead of Campaign

Oh take a deep breath!!!
Why do Republicans take "the sky is falling" approach to everything?
After watching the Warren in the debates, I could see why she would be ahead. She was professional and cerebral in her responses. What we should all be looking for in our leaders.

ReplyI know for a fact that I will die one day and no amount of myth is going to ameliorate the uncertainty of what will happen to me when I do.
I'm going to be the best person I can regardless.
Actions demonstrate morals, not religious affiliation.
Religion is mostly an opening for hypocrisy and a closing of tolerance and reason.

On the article YOUR TURN: Was Romney Right About the 47 Percent, or Will This Doom his Campaign?
daniel phelan
10:12 am on Thursday, September 20, 2012
ReplyHis campaign is already at the bottom, the only way to go is up. Romney is the worst kind of American though, being unable to see how much this country has given him. Romney's own father was on welfare and now he complains about people on welfare.
The elderly mostly vote for Republicans even though they shouldn't. Maybe they all listen to talk radio moron who sell hatred and anger? Many of the 47% Romney is talking about are elderly folks just trying to get by. The other half are the working poor. These people need help because the Republicans policies of lowering taxes and deregulating have failed them. We have lost millions of jobs to outsourcing and deregulation caused the housing crash.
Nothing Republicans of today have to offer is going to help our situation. Teaching greed and selfishness is what the anti-Christ would do.Republicans have turned out to be torture for our great country....and it will be a long while before I vote for one.
I'm not going to touch a Republican with a 10 ft stick. Republicans are poison.

ReplyIF you can't win fair then cheat!
Ah the American way.....
Republicans held the White House, the House and the Senate for six long years. And they did something no one had ever tried in 200 years of history: they tried to fund two wars by cutting taxes three times. It's that simple. They took everything they inherited: the jobs, the surplus, the stature of our country around the world -- and they squandered it....
Republicans looted the Constitution with the Patriot Act in the same period. Republicans were attacking the rights of gay people in the same period. Who wants to talk about liberty?
Liberty eh? Like taking away someones right to vote?
Please... Republicans are the biggest fakes the world has ever known. Republicans don’t really care about spending. Republicans only care about money that we spend on education and healthcare (things that actually improve society).....but spending three trillion dollars we borrow from China on unnecessary war in Iraq.....Halliburton and Karl Marx approved!!
4500 dead Americans and 100,000 innocent Iraqi civilians’ deaths later and now Republicans care about "life"? I think not.....
Republicans don’t actually stand for anything, and funny thing is, no one asks them to. Especially their hacks in the payola media; the people who should be asking the hard questions but don't because they want those Republican dollars!

ReplyObama the brave! Obama probably just lost NC in the general but from the looks of NC they were a state who's people aren't going to vote for him anyways.
I figured the bigots and religious freaks were going to eventually lose this battle anyways, but it is nice to see Obama stand strong right now.
Anyway you look at it, our President just took a very honorable stance for giving people rights they deserve.
What is not being talked about is the cowardice of Mitt Romney who said, states should be able to infringe upon a person rights because he or she is in love with a person of the same sex.
None of the media cowards are even talking about that. Despicable!!
I love the double standard when it comes to Republicans.Republicans are always crying about government intrusion in the lives of people. Well, here's some government intrusion in the lives of people. Good job Republican voters!
What do you think about that!
Enjoy it while you can hacks, all these foolish laws will be brought down one day and none of you will be remembered, but Obama certainly will be.

ReplyAll this fuss is really about the fact that the Republican agenda of crushing Unions and butting into the personal lives of women was TROUNCED yesterday at the ballot box!!
Ha! Ha!
This is typical Republican strategy: create a grotesquely distorted caricature, broadcast the delusion at the top of your lungs, and hope that you manage to reinforce just enough cynicism and hopelessness to ensure the election of someone who truly cares only for funneling all of the country's wealth and power into the hands of a tiny, corrupt elite.
Anybody who falls for Republican garbage propaganda deserves the fate Republicans would afford them.
It's 15 cents people, once a year, and far from a tax initiated by the Obama administration, the proposal to create an assessment on tree growers to fund a research and promotion program through the USDA was begun by the industry during the Bush administration.
In February 2008, faced with declining sales, members of the National Christmas Tree Association created a task force to consider the merits of a checkoff program, which would allow the USDA to collect a fee from growers in order to fund research into marketing Christmas trees.“Nature abhors a vacuum, and there is no vacuum in nature as empty as the leadership of the Republican Party today.”
Conservative columnist Richard ViguerieEnough with you moronic Republican propagandists......

ReplyLetter to the Peasants of America from the Top 2%,
You asked, Where did all the money and jobs go?
We took the money. We can never have enough. We shipped the jobs overseas. We started international corporations where we seek out the cheapest labor and the least stringent regulations. We invested in scams which produced nothing but debt for you.
We crashed the economy. Now Americans are just as desperate to have a low paying job as anywhere else in the world. We arranged the largest theft in history and stuck you with the bill.
We set up offshore businesses and accounts. We deposited our money in Swiss and Cayman Island banks. We bought enough politicians and judges to write the laws. We implemented free trade, free markets, low taxes for us, and no taxes for our corporations.
We used the military (you pay for) to take over any competition that can't be stolen or bought. We will destroy anyone in our way.
We bought TV networks, radio stations, newspapers, and Internet providers. We propagandized our point of view to convince enough of you to vote against your own interest.
We will go after civil rights, education, environmental laws, unions, Healthcare, Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare ...any group or law that stands in the way of us controlling the economy and government. This allows us to profit as much as possible. That's our goal. That is all that matters.
Forever looking down on you,

Now, I am perfectly familiar with the grandiose slogans of freedom and liberty that Republicans keep repeating to the public, but when you look at exactly who they fight for it is pretty much only people who make lots and lots of money. How is it that so many people vote for so many Republicans who only really represent the few? I think it's because Republicans of today are really good at making people angry and then telling them that it's the government's fault.
Tell you what America, most Americans don't make lots and lots of money.
So how is it that there are so many Republicans when all they care about is protecting tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires who don't need them? Republicans say that Democrats are asking too much to raise taxes on people making even $500,000 per year.
Think about that. How many people we know make that much money? Hardly anybody? Based on the percentage of the citizenship they represent Republicans have no business holding a majority in any political body.
I think it's time America and the media hold Republicans accountable until they start showing that they are mature and responsible enough to hold positions of leadership.
