ReplyKathy neither the town nor county has specified particular amenities needed to get the 75-foot max. As I understand it, that would be hashed out in a series of public meetings before Konterra would present a plan to the Planning Board.

Jess, you're right — the site MCPS is considering includes both the former Lynnbrook Elementary and what is currently Lynnbrook Local Park. I'll correct the story.
Also, you can find the schools' PowerPoint presentation on the sites here: http://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/facilities/REM/pdf/BCC%20MS%20Site%20Presentation%20for%20SSAC%20011212%20Public%20Sites.pdf

That's a good point, Mary. The map charts traffic on major streets and highways, but not all neighborhood roads. So, while it can tell you what's happening on Connecticut Avenue or the Beltway, I don't think it tracks the Cedar Lanes and Beach Drives of the world.

They had initially planned to take a straw vote to see where each member stood on the plan — that's what was delayed. I should have made that more clear, and I'll do so now. Thanks for catching that.
