Dice Game Dispute May Have Led to Shooting Involving Germantown Man

A New Year’s Day shootout in Silver Spring that resulted in attempted murder charges against a Germantown man may have stemmed from a five-month dispute over a dice game and some money, according to police. No one was shot during the dispute. Lamaughan Solomon, 38, of the 18100 block of Chalet Drive, was charged with two counts of attempted murder and reckless endangerment following an incident in the 13000 block of Brahms Terrace in Silver Spring, according to Montgomery County Police. Police said the confrontation involved Solomon and Derek Bratcher, 32, of Silver Spring and resulted from a dsiagreement that had been brewing since August.
