Montgomery Village Man Arrested For Sexual Abuse Of Two Children

Montgomery County police: Alleged incidents occurred at a Montgomery Village day care.

A Montgomery Village man was arrested for sexually abusing two children at his wife's in-home day care, Montgomery County police said. The girls, ages 3 and 7, attended the Playing and Learning Family Child Care, which is located in the basement of a residence in the 18000 block of Royal Bonnett Circle, police said. The children provided their mother with information, and the mother contacted police, according to a Montgomery County police news release. David Fernando Javier Zaraysi, 66, who is the husband of the girls' day care provider, and lives at the same address as the center, was arrested March 14, the release said. Report: Accuser Testifies Against Gaithersburg Vocal Coach In Sex Abuse Case

Timothy M. Ballard, 47, is alleged to have sexually abused a then-eighth grade boy during the spring and summer of 2008.

A Gaithersburg vocal coach accused of sexually abusing a then-eighth grade boy during the spring and summer of 2008 faced his accuser in court Monday, The Gazette reported. Timothy M. Ballard, 47, of Goodport Lane, is alleged to have abused the boy in his former home on Ramsdell Terrace. The boy, now in his mid-teens, "told prosecutors that he and Ballard had known each other for years before the abuse took place," according to the report. The victim testified that Ballard has performed sex acts on him on two occasions, according to the report. Ballard's attorney said the accusations were false and stemmed from tension between the two. Report: Trial Date Set For Private School Teacher Accused of Molesting Boys

Charged with 10 counts of sexual abuse, Nathaniel Morales will face trial in June, according to The Gazette.

A former private school teacher and former Rockville resident charged with sexually molesting four boys will face trial in Montgomery County Circuit Court in June, The Gazette reports. Nathaniel Morales, 55, has been indicted on 10 counts of sexually abusing four boys under his care, Patch has reported. The Gazette’s most recent report —posted at Gazette.net—cited court records and reactions from local clergy.   According to The Gazette, Morales lived in Germantown and lived with a family in Rockville. Not guilty verdict for Neelsville Middle School teacher Cuyler Jay Cornell, accused of fondling one of his students.

A Germantown teacher was acquitted on charges of sexual abuse and sex offense, ending a week-long trial spurred by a former student’s allegations that the educator fondled him at school. The jury took nearly two hours to render the not guilty verdict Tuesday. Facing the charges was Cuyler Jay Cornell, 51, of Germantown, who taught seventh grade English at Neelsville Middle School. Cornell cupped his fingers over his eyes as his family shrieked and sobbed from the courtroom gallery immediately after the verdict was read.
