Dice Game Dispute May Have Led to Shooting Involving Germantown Man

The New Year's Day shooting may have resulted from a months-old dispute over a dice game.

A New Year’s Day shootout in Silver Spring that resulted in attempted murder charges against a Germantown man may have stemmed from a five-month dispute over a dice game and some money, according to police. No one was shot during the dispute. Lamaughan Solomon, 38, of the 18100 block of Chalet Drive, was charged with two counts of attempted murder and reckless endangerment following an incident in the 13000 block of Brahms Terrace in Silver Spring, according to Montgomery County Police. Police said the confrontation involved Solomon and Derek Bratcher, 32, of Silver Spring and resulted from a dsiagreement that had been brewing since August. Germantown Man Charged in New Year’s Day Shooting

No one was hurt in the shooting that was the result of a months-long disagreement.

A parking lot dispute that ended with shots fired New Year’s Day in Silver Spring has led to attempted murder charges against a Germantown resident. No one was injured in the shooting. Lamaughan Solomon, 38, of the 18100 block of Chalet Drive, was charged with two counts of attempted murder and reckless endangerment, according to Montgomery County Police. Police said the incident stemmed from a months-long disagreement between Solomon and Derek Bratcher, 32, of Silver Spring. Bratcher was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree assault and reckless endangerment, according to online court records.
