Built in 1968, Whestone Elementary is Montgomery Village's oldest school. Graduating students move on to Montgomery Village Middle School, then Watkins Mill High School. More than one-quarter of the Whetstone's professional personnel have at least 15 years of experience. The school also hosts MCPS's Learning and Academic Disabilities program and the Preschool Education Program.
