Financials: BlackRock Center for the Arts reported about $1.2 million in revenue in 2010, according to the tax filing the organization filed that year.

History: From the website: In the early 1990s, a group of Germantown residents began to promote an arts center for their community and within a year, the Germantown Cultural Arts Center Inc. was founded as a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization.

The groundbreaking was in January 2001, construction was completed in the summer of 2002, and the building was opened to the public that September. BlackRock held its grand opening celebration on Dec. 7, 2002.

How can you help: BlackRock offers a variety of sponsorship packages to fit your business interests and needs. Sponsorship benefits are designed to provide a high level of visibility, flexible promotional opportunities, and a year-long association with BlackRock and its audiences that will provide benefits long after the performance is over. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
