Wolverines Lacrosse Adds to Both Win Columns

Girls down Clarksburg 13-6; boys muster 5-3 win over Blake.

Though they showed the effects of not having played in weeks, Watkins Mill boys’ and girls’ lacrosse notched a pair of wins Monday night to keep the march going on the school’s best lacrosse season in recent memory.

The girls improved their record to 6-1 after pulling away in the second half at Clarksburg High School for a 13-6 win. Senior Stephanie Martinez and freshman Alexis Rusnak each had 4 goals, Kaylor Ficklin had three and Sara Labriny and Millie Pryphun each pitched in a goal.

The boys scraped out a 5-3 home win over James H. Blake High School, improving to 7-2 on the season after dropping their two previous games. The Wolverines’ goals against the Bengals came one each from Kyle Khuen, Tommy Drury, Shane Saghomonian, Kyle Hall and Kwasi Arhin.
