When the seniors from Watkins Mill's boys' and girls' lacrosse teams step off the field after tonight's double-header, they will be leaving behind a lacrosse program vastly transformed from when they started as underclassmen.
The teams have put together surprisingly strong campaigns this season, proving to the players that their new-found dedication had paid off and signaling to the rest of the county that Watkins Mill lacrosse is no longer something to be taken lightly.
Tonight's games are both against Paint Branch. The boys play at 5:15 p.m., followed by the girls at 7 p.m.

In a show of sportmanship, Watkins Mill is hosting Paint Branch's senior night during halftime of the boys' game. Paint Branch hasn't had a home field all season because of construction on the school's campus.
