Montgomery County Alliance of Black School Educators

Rockville, April 19, 2012:  The Montgomery County Alliance of Black School Educators (MCABSE) announces the Third Annual Distinguished African American Scholars Award Ceremony on April 19, 2012 at 6:30 pm. The ceremony will take place at Richard Montgomery High School at 250 Richard Montgomery Drive, Rockville, Maryland 20852.  The award honors African American senior high school students in Montgomery County who have achieved high academic marks, served their community in multiple capacities, and demonstrated excellence in all that they do.

Distinguished and Community Scholars are committed to leadership in their high schools and communities; are passionate and committed to their education and demonstrate a deliberate pursuit of academic excellence; are dedicated to their school community; and are talented, positive, and motivated in the use of their talents.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Hattie N. Washington, President and Founder of Aunt Hattie's Place (AHP) www.aunthattie.org
