The Federal Trade Commission reports that nearly 9 million Americans have their identities stolen every year. Don’t be one of these statistics. Learn how you can better protect your information and ultimately, your identity.

Participants will learn:
-Ways to be smart shoppers, whether buying at thrift stores, shopping for a car, household items, or groceries -How to avoid common consumer scams such as ID
Theft, Work at Home scams, Credit Repair scams and more.

A campaign of the City of Gaithersburg, this program has partnered with local banks and credit unions to offer residents free and low-cost options for checking and savings accounts and to help individuals: stay on budget, successfully manage bank accounts, improve credit rating, and pay off debt. Additionally, Bank on Gaithersburg works with financial professionals to deliver free and unbiased financial education.
