Polls Open in Primaries, Board of Ed

Cast your vote today for the Republican presidential candidate, 6th District Congressional candidates and Board of Education.

At 7 this morning polls opened for the 2012 Presidential Primary Election.

On the ballot are the major Republican hopefuls looking to take on President Barack Obama in November in the General Election.

Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul are vying for Maryland's delegates. Only registered Republicans can cast ballots for these candidates.

Voters can also cast ballots today for the redrawn 6th Congressional District, which includes Montgomery Village for the first time.

On the Democratic ticket, voters can choose between John Delaney, State Sen. Rob Garagiola, Milad Pooran and Ron Little.

Republicans contenders include incumbent Roscoe Bartlett, Sen. David Brinkley, Robert Coblentz, Robin Ficker, Joseph Krysztoforski, Brandon Rippeon, Del. Kathy Afzali and Peter James.

Voters can also vote for the Montgomery County Board of Education members.
