New Poll Shows Warren With Her Biggest Lead of Campaign

A new poll from Public Policy Polling gives Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren a nine point lead over Republican Senator Scott Brown.

In a campaign that has regularly been too close to call, the latest poll from Public Policy Polling (PPP) shows Elizabeth Warren with a clear lead in the race to represent Massachusetts in the U.S. Senate.

The poll, taken between Oct. 15 and 16 on behalf of the League of Conservation Voters, has Warren leading Brown, 53 percent to 44 percent. The poll consisted of 705 likely voters from Massachusetts. The margin of error is 3.7 percent.

Also taking a hit in the poll was Brown's approval rating, which fell to 46 percent. Forty-five percent of those polled disapproved of the senator's job performance.

Warren, however, enjoyed an increase in her favorable numbers. With 52 percent of those polled having a favorable view of Warren, the Democrat now enjoys a difference of plus nine percent between her favorable and unfavorable numbers. Forty-three percent of those polled had an unfavorable rating of Warren and 5 percent were unsure.

While Warren has not had trouble leading with women, the poll also shows her with a 50 percent to 48 percent lead among men as well. With women, Warren leads 55 percent to 40 percent.

Although Warren has led now in the last three polls to be conducted -- Brown was up three points in a poll two weeks ago -- the overall margin of her perceived lead is still just 3 percent, well within the margin of error for polling data.

Gee, I wish I could be as 'middle class' as she is. Would have loved to be able to earn $350,000 to teach ONE class at Harvard Law!!!!!!! Oh yeah, she's 'for' the middle class, NOT!!! Also--why does she hide her husband and child(ren)? As for the democrats -- if they take over every part of government, Greece here we come.

Brown is a bully..is that what he has learned in 30 years in the military..shameful. He has no substance..he knew it back when he posed nude..take the low road seems to be his motto then and now. Those claims that his mother was beaten and a bused..his relatives say..never happened. He tries to pander to women but he has it all wrong.

No...we must stop neo-Fascists like Romney/Ryan for whom Brown will be just another yes vote. You can't see that Brown's "moderate" views is but sheep's clothing ? The Tea Party owns Mitt and the Tea Party leveraged the economic downturn to advance its social and cultural agenda. We saw this movie before in Europe in the 1930's. Be nervous, my friend. Be very nervous.

Wow. You have scary thoughts my friend. Did somebody take your toys when you were little ? Your anger is not unlike a dark time in Europe or the American South decades ago. Wow. I hope you forgot to register to vote.
