Montgomery Village Releases Election Results

Three new board of directors were elected this week and will be installed at the March 27 annual meeting.

Today the Montgomery Village Foundation announced the 2014 Board of Directors election results. The results are:

Young, Pete                            2,788

Clark, Dennis                          2,760

Webb, Peter                            2,088

Lechner, David                       1,762

O’Neill, Don                             1,316 

Dennis Clark, Peter Webb and Pete Young are the newly elected board members. The Montgomery Village Foundation would like to thank all those who participated in the election either as candidates, supporters or voters.

Clark, Webb and Young will serve a three-year term on the nine-member volunteer board of directors. They will be installed as board members at the 2014 MVF annual meeting scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, at North Creek Community Center, 20125 Arrowhead Road in Montgomery Village.

Thanks everyone for voting. For those who didn't get elected, thank you for your opinions and running for the Board. I hope you can make your efforts known in one way or another to the community. For those of you say it is a "good old boy network" to that I would say the people have spoken and you had your vote. As my father once about the President "If you didn't vote, you can't complain". Yet there is a lot of complaining on here. Mostly complaining, rarely a positive. I know I will take a hit on this especially about South Village "no grass, no play equip. etc." and the "ghetto of the Village" ...... Have you done anything other than address the "powers that be" in a blog". Seems that you live to blog. OK enough.
