Two Armed Robberies, One Arrest

Crime summary covers Sept. 26 through Oct. 4.

The following is from the most recent crime summary for the Montgomery County Police Department's Sixth District, which covers Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg.

An aggravated assault occurred in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle on Wednesday, Sept. 28. An 18-year-old male from Gaithersburg was arrested.

An armed robbery occurred at the 7-Eleven at 8035 Snouffer School Road shortly before 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property. The suspect is described as a male 25 to 30 years old, 5’8” tall, and wearing a black hoodie, black pants and a mask.

An attempted burglary occurred in the 20800 block of Aspenwood Lane in Northgate between 11 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29 and 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 30. Forced entry attempted; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 9800 block of Brookridge Court in Northgate at around 3:40 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 30. No further information provided.

The Hadley Farms neighborhood north of the Montgomery County Airpark was hit with four thefts between Sept. 28 and Oct. 2:

  • A theft from vehicle occurred in the unit block of Filbert Court between 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28 and 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29. Unknown entry; property taken.
  • A theft from vehicle occurred in the unit block of Tarfside Court between 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28 and 5 p. m. on Thursday, Sept. 29. Unknown entry; property taken.
  • A theft from a vehicle occurred between 7:30 a.m. and 7:45 am on Thursday, Sept. 29 in the 7400 block of Lake Katrine Terrace.  Unknown entry; property taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 7300 block of Tarfside Lane between midnight and 3 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2. Unknown entry; property taken.

An armed robbery occurred at the Sunoco Station in the Goshen Crossing shopping center at 20050 Goshen Road shortly after 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property. A 29-year-old Montgomery Village man was arrested.
