Sixth District Sees Spate of Robberies

The following information was supplied by Montgomery County Police. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

This crime summary is from the weekly report for March 19 through March 27 from the Montgomery County Police Department's 6th District station, which covers Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg.

A strong-arm robbery occurred at the Lakeforest Transit Center on Lost Knife Road at around 10:50pm on Thursday, March 22. A 16-year-old male from Gaithersburg was arrested after allegedly assaulting the victim and obtaining property.

An aggravated assault occurred in the 1100 block of Southern Night Lane — in the Montgomery Meadows community off Watkins Mill Road in Gaithersburg — on Thursday, March 22. The suspect is known to the victim. A 17-year-old female from Gaithersburg was arrested.

A residential burglary occurred in the 18700 block of Walkers Choice Road in Walkers Choice on Thursday, March 22. Unknown entry; property taken.

An aggravated assault occurred in the 19600 block of Labelle Lane in Stewartown at around 3:35am on Saturday, March 24. Two males from Gaithersburg — 20 and 21 years old — allegedly assaulted the victim and were arrested.

A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 8100 block of Cambourne Court near Washington Grove at around 8:30pm on Saturday, March 24. The suspect assaulted the victim and obtained property. The suspect is described as a black male with a mustache, 20 to 24 years old, 5’8” to 5’11” tall, 180 pounds and wearing a black hoodie and dark blue jeans.

A strong-arm robbery occurred outside of the Upper County Community Center, 8211 Emory Grove Road in Emory Grove, at around 11:20pm on Saturday, March 24. Two teens assaulted the victim and obtained property. The suspects are described as black males 14 to 18 years old — one with long hair, the other with a ponytail.

A commercial burglary occurred at Hans Auto Center, 8509 Citation Drive—near the Montgomery County Airpark— between midnight and 12:30am on Monday, March 26. Forced entry; property taken.

An armed robbery occurred in the parking lot of the Goshen Oaks Safeway — 20211 Goshen Road in Montgomery Village — just after 3:30pm on Tuesday, March 27. The suspect displayed a weapon and obtained property. The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 29 years old, 6’0” tall, thin build and wearing a black hoodie and black dress pants.
