UPDATE: Gunn Charged In Six Additional Armed Robberies

Detectives say Gunn robbed two Kentlands salons and five other businesses in Rockville and Germantown.

UPDATE: Police have charged Ramon Michael Gunn, 25, with six additional armed robberies that occurred in Rockville, Gaithersburg and Germantown.

Gunn was arrested on Feb. 18 after police observed him allegedly robbing Night Dreams, an adult toy store in Rockville.

While questioning him, police said Gunn admitted to several additional armed robberies, including two hair salons in the Kentlands neighborhood of Gaithersburg.

Police said he confessed to the following armed robberies:

  • January 11, 2012, Subway, 12601 Wisteria Drive, Germantown
  • January 12, 2012, Domino’s Pizza, 5268 Nicholson Lane, Rockville
  • January 14, 2012, Subway, 5210 Nicholson Lane, Rockville
  • January 18, 2012, O’Hair Salon and Spa, 424 Main Street, Gaithersburg
  • January 30, 2012, Salon G, 316 Main Street, Gaithersburg
  • January 31, 2012, Subway, 12601 Wisteria Drive, Germantown
  • February 18, 2012, Night Dreams, 11550(F) Rockville Pike, Rockville

Today, Montgomerty County Police announced they have charged Gunn with a total of 20 counts, including seven counts of armed robbery and one count of fourth degree sex assault for inappropriately touching a female employee during the January 30 robbery of Salon G.

He is currently being held on $10,000 bond at the Montgomery County Detention Center.

 

ORIGINAL STORY: An alleged armed robbery of an adult toy store in Rockville on Saturday night has led police to the man they believe was behind a pair of robberies last month in the Kentlands.

Ramon Michael Gunn, 25, of the 11400 block of Rockville Pike, was under police surveillance on Saturday night when he allegedly robbed Night Dreams—an adult store on Rockville Pike—at around 10:45pm. Gunn brandished what appeared to be a handgun and demanded cash, according to Montgomery County police. Gunn was arrested as he walked back to his car, where police found cash, a black pellet gun and a black mask.

Police say Gunn subsequently told them he was responsible for a pair of robberies at salon/spas in the Kentlands last monthO’Hair salon on Jan. 18 and Salon G on Jan. 30.

Gunn is charged with one count of armed robbery for the Night Dreams robbery. Charges in the two Kentlands cases are pending, police said, and detectives have not ruled out that Gunn might responsible for other commercial robberies.
