Police Academy Swears in 37 New Montgomery County Police Officers

Members of the sheriff's office, Gaithersburg police and Maryland National-Capital Park police were also sworn in on Wednesday.

Dozens of men and women joined the ranks of the Montgomery County Police Department Wednesday at the 58th police academy graduation.

Among the group were 37 Montgomery County police officers, three deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, four officers from the Gaithersburg Police Department, and one officer from the Maryland National-Capital Park Police.

The group has been in training since Jan. 28 and will begin training in the field next week.
