Man Stabbed at Montgomery Village Residence

A 19-year-old man was stabbed several times during an altercation on Welbeck Way.

Shortly after 8 p.m. on Saturday night, Montgomery County Police received a call about a reported stabbing on the 8600 block of Welbeck Way.

Capt. David Falcinelli said a 19-year-old male, who resides on Hawk Run Terrace, was taken to Suburban Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries after sustaining multiple stab wounds inflicted by a 20-year-old male.

The altercation occurred when the 19-year-old entered the 20-year-old's residence on Welbeck Way and assaulted him, Fancinelli said. The 20-year-old then stabbed the 19-year-old several times, he said.

The 20-year-old had an asthma attack and was taken to a hospital, police said.

Both men, who were apparently involved in an earlier altercation, are being interviewed by officials, Fancinelli said.
