Intruder Found Climbing Ladder, Two Assaults, Three Burglaries, Motorcycles Stolen

The following is from the most recent crime summary for the Montgomery County Police Department's Sixth District, which covers Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg.

A residential burglary occurred in the 20000 Lumaryn Place in Patton Ridge on at around 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30. Forced entry; undisclosed property removed. Both suspects are described as males wearing blue jeans, black wool hats and black North Face jackets. One suspect is described as being 6’0” to 6’2” tall, and the other 5’7” to 6’0” tall.

A residential burglary was reported on Mineral Springs Drive, outside Gaithersburg near Flower Hill, on Wednesday, March 30. Forced entry; undisclosed property removed.

Two Suzuki motorcycles were stolen from the 9900 block of Boysenberry Way sometime between Thursday, March 31 and Friday, April 1. Cable locks were cut to access two motorcycles at the residence; neither motorcycle had tags.    

An attempted burglary occurred in the 9000 block of Bannister Lane outside Gaithersburg near Strawberry Knoll Park at around 9:25 p.m. on Friday, April 1. An adult female resident saw a man outside her second-floor window climbing a ladder that belonged to the resident. When the woman screamed, the suspect fled. The suspect is described as a black male, 18 to 25 years old, wearing blue jeans and a white hoodie.

An aggravated assault occurred in the parking lot of 19000 Mills Choice Road in Heron's Cove shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday, April 2. Police found an adult male and female, both with minor cut wounds to their faces. All the parties were uncooperative.

An aggravated assault occurred in the 8600 block of Welbeck Way in East Village at around 8 p.m. on Saturday April 2. The suspect confronted the victim and began punching him. Both men were taken to the hospital; one to treat the stabbing, the other because of an asthmatic episode. The investigation is ongoing.

A residential burglary occurred at the Cider Mill Apartments, in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle, at around 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5. An adult female resident arrived at her apartment to find two suspects inside, who then fled with property. Both suspects are described as “tall and skinny” black males, 40 to 50 years old and wearing all black clothing.
