Gun Fired in Nathan's Hill, Armed Robbery, Assault and Four Burglaries

Crime summary covers Aug. 1 through Aug. 9

The following is from the most recent crime summary for the Montgomery County Police Department's Sixth District, which covers Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg. Arrests do not imply guilt.

An aggravated assault occurred in the 18700 block of Nathans Place in South Village at around 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 1. A 29-year-old male from Germantown assaulted the victim, fired a weapon and was arrested.

An aggravated assault occurred in the 9700 block of Hellingly Place in Christopher Court on Thursday, Aug. 4. The known suspect assaulted the victim.

A theft occurred in the 8000 block of Cessna Avenue, near the Montgomery County Airpark, between 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4 and 4 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 5.

A burglary occurred in the 9800 block of Dockside Terrace in South Village between 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7. Forced entry; nothing was taken.

An armed robbery occurred in the 18200 block of Lost Knife Circle in Cider Mill at around 12:10 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7. The victim was threatened with a weapon and the suspect obtained property. The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 29 years old, 5’6” to 5’8” tall, 120 to 130 pounds, with short hair and wearing all black clothing.

A residential burglary occurred in the 8300 block of Fairhaven Drive near Washington Grove at 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7. No further information was provided.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 20300 block of Grazing Way in North Village just after 10 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7. Entry attempted; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 9800 block of Hallowell Place in Whetstone between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 8. No forced entry; property was taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 9600 block of Shadow Oak Drive in Northgate at around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 8. Unknown entry; property taken. Police arrested a 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, both from Montgomery Village.
