Fraud Attempt at 7-Eleven, Three Homes Burgled

The following is from the most recent crime summary for the Montgomery County Police Department's Sixth District, which covers Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg. Arrests do not imply guilt.

A residential burglary occurred in the 8400 block of Mountain Laurel Lane in Flower Hill between 4 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18. No forced entry; undisclosed property taken.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 7900 block of Coriander Drive in Flower Hill at around 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 20. Forced entry attempted.

A theft occurred in the 8200 block of Beechcraft Ave. -- near the Montgomery County Airpark -- at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 20. Undisclosed property was taken from outside the premises. A 48-year-old male from Silver Spring was arrested.

A residential burglary occurred in the 19600 block of Sparr Spring Road in Stedwick between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25. No forced entry; undisclosed property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 7600 block of Dew Wood Drive in Derwood between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 26. Unknown entry; unknown what property was taken.

An attempted fraud occurred at the 7-Eleven at 19235 Watkins Mill Road, in the Montgomery Village Center, at around 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 26. The suspect is described as a white male with short black hair, 30 to 40 years old, 5'7" to 5'9" tall and weighing 150 to 170 pounds.
