Flower Hill Thefts, Two Robberies

The following information was supplied by Montgomery County Police. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

This crime summary is from the weekly report for May 7 through May 15 from the Montgomery County Police Department's 6th District station, which covers Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg.

A sexual assault occurred in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle in Montgomery Village at around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8. The suspect inappropriately touched the victim, then fled. The suspect is described as a black male, 16 to 18 years old, and wearing a red sweatshirt.

A residential burglary occurred in the 20400 block of Aspenwood Lane in Northgate between 12:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9. No forced entry; undisclosed property taken.

A strong-arm robbery occurred at the Lakeforest Transit Center, 9650 Lost Knife Road, at around 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9. The suspect threatened the victim and removed undisclosed property. Police arrested Michael Thomas, 27, of the 100 block of Odenhal Ave. in Gaithersburg. He is charged with armed robbery and misdemeanor theft and has a preliminary hearing June 8 in Montgomery County District Court. As a result of the arrest, Thomas has also been charged with robbery and theft Less than $1,000 in value, in connection with an incident on April 27.

A residential burglary occurred in the 18600 block of Walkers Choice Road in Montgomery Village between 12:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Thursday, May 10. No forced entry; undisclosed property taken.

Five vehicle-related thefts occurred overnight in Flower Hill between Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12 on Crabapple Lane, Crabtree Place, and Hallmark Court. Forced entry; nothing taken.

A strong-arm robbery occurred at Travis Lane and Travis Court in Gaithersburg at around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 12. The victim was assaulted and had undisclosed property taken. The suspects are described as two black males.

A residential burglary occurred in the 400 block of Blue Silk Lane in Gaithersburg between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 13. No forced entry; property taken.

An assault occurred between 3:45 and 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15 in the 7600 block of Laytonia Drive outside Gaithersburg. Police arrested a 16-year-old male from Gaithersburg.
