Flasher Caught, Strong-Arm Robbery and Two Burglaries

Crime report covers Oct. 17 through Oct. 25

The following is the most recent crime summary for the Montgomery County Police Department's Sixth District, which covers Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg.

An apartment burglary occurred in the 18600 block of Walkers Choice Road—at the Walker’s Choice Apartments—between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18. Forced entry; undisclosed property removed. The suspect is described as an Hispanic male, 20 to 25 years old, 5’10” to 6’ tall, with a goatee and dreadlocks.           

A theft from a vehicle occurred in the 18500 block of Cherry Laurel Lane in Flower Hill just after 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19. A witness saw two adult males break a car window and steal a GPS unit then leave in their own vehicle. The suspects are described as two black males, 5’1” to 6’ tall, wearing all black clothing. Their vehicle is described as a gray Pontiac Grand Am 4-door.

A theft from vehicle occurred near the area of Woodfield Road and Hadley Farm Drive, between 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20 and 6:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21. Undisclosed property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 9200 block of Turtle Dove Lane, outside Gaithersburg, between 10 a.m. and 12:25 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23. The homeowner found the suspect inside his vacant unit. A rear window was broken for entry, but no property had been stolen. A 27-year-old male from Gaithersburg was arrested nearby.

A strong-arm robbery occurred in the parking lot in the 9400 block of Horizon Run Road in Horizon Run at around 9:15 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23. Four suspects approached the victim and after assaulting him, fled with his property toward South Lake Elementary School.  Two of the suspects are described as black males, 20 to 25 years old, 6’ tall. The other two suspects are described as black females, 18 to 25 years old, one of them with red hair

An indecent exposure occurred in the 18500 block of Sweet Autumn Drive in Gaithersburg at around 3:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25. The female resident looked out of her window and saw the subject outside exposing himself. The victim called police and the suspect was arrested nearby.
