UPDATE: North Potomac Stabbing Victim Identified, Suspect Charged

Carols Tiul was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

Update, May 27, 10 a.m.: Montgomery County police have charged Carlos Tiul, 29, with first-degree murder for the fatal stabbing that occurred at a North Potomac residence on Wednesday night.

Police say they have identified the victim as Tomas Mo-Choc, 27, 0f the 14100 block of Travilah Road. 

Since being charged on Thursday, police have held Tiul on a no-bond status. Tiul's bond hearing is set for Friday afternoon. Police do not know Tiul's address.

Detectives say they have determined that Mo-Choc was stabbed with a knife.

Original Post, May 26, 2:30 a.m.: One man is dead and another is in custody after an argument turned deadly Wednesday night in North Potomac, police said.

Montgomery County police and fire and rescue personnel found a man stabbed in his chest when they arrived at a home in the 14100 block of Travilah Road—near its intersection with Piney Meetinghouse Road—just after 9:30 p.m. He died "shortly after officers arrived," according to police. 

A suspect was found nearby and taken into custody, according to police.

Detectives believe the men were arguing inside the home when one attacked the other with an unknown weapon.

Police have not disclosed either man’s name.

"While it is believed that the victim and the suspect where known to each other, their identities cannot be confirmed at this time," according to a police statement.
