Crime Report: Strong-Arm Robbery, Five Burglaries

The following information was supplied by Montgomery County Police. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

This crime summary is from the weekly report for March 12 through March 20 from the Montgomery County Police Department's 6th District station, which covers Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg.

A residential burglary occurred in the unit block of Whetstone Drive between 7pm on Saturday, March 17 and 10:30am on Sunday, March 18. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 9200 block of Stewartown Road outside Montgomery Village between 10am and 3:15pm on Monday, March 12. Forced entry; property taken.

A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 18200 block of Flower Hill Way in Flower Hill at around 9:45pm on Saturday, March 17. Suspects assaulted the victim and obtained property. The first suspect is described as a black male, 16 to 17 years old, 5’7” to 5’8” tall, 140 to 150 pounds, dreadlocks, and wearing a black-and-white striped t-shirt. The second suspect is described as a black male, 6’7” to 6’8” tall, 170 to 180 pounds and short hair.

An attempted burglary occurred in the 8300 block of Shady Spring Drive near Emory Grove just after 2pm on Wednesday, March 14. Four suspects attempted to force entry but were unsuccessful. They are described as black males, 16 to 18 years old, 5’2” to 5’5” tall, 130 to 150 pounds, with varying hairstyles.

A residential burglary occurred between 6 pm on Saturday, March 17 and 9am on Sunday, March 18 in the 18400 block of Cherry Laurel Lane in Flower Hill. Forced entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred at 1:31am on Sunday, March 18 in the 18500 block of Cherry Laurel Lane in Flower Hill. Forced entry; unknown if anything was taken.

A commercial burglary occurred at Innovative Multimedia, 7601 Airpark Road near the Montgomery County Airpark, between 5pm Friday, March 16 and 8am Saturday, March 17. No forced entry; property taken.
