Crime Report: Rash of Thefts from Vehicles

The following information was supplied by Montgomery County Police. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

This crime summary is from the weekly report for May 21 through May 29 from the Montgomery County Police Department's 6th District station, which covers Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg.

Two thefts from vehicles at 18703 Walkers Choice Road in Montgomery Village were broken into overnight between Tuesday, May 29 and Wednesday, May 30. Forced entry on both vehicles, stereo taken.

Three thefts from vehicles occurred after midnight on Thursday May 31. The vehicles were unlocked. Streets affected included Darlington Drive in Northgate and Smoothstone Way in Heron’s Cove. Entry was forced into a vehicle on Crested Iris Court in Stedwick.  A stereo, iPod, and GPS were taken.

Three thefts from vehicles occurred between June 1 and June 2 on Sugar Notch Circle in East Village. No forced entry; loose items taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 19400 block of Brassie Place in Montgomery Village sometime between 3 p.m. on Friday, June 1 and 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 3. Forced entry; undisclosed property taken.

Two aggravated assaults occurred in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle—at the Cider Mill apartment complex—between 9:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 2. The suspects and victims are known to each other and assaulted each other.
