Crime Report: Rash of Stolen Cars, Two Armed Robberies and a Peeping Tom

The following information was supplied by Montgomery County Police. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

This crime summary is from the weekly report for Aug. 13 through Aug. 21—the most recent available—from the Montgomery County Police Department's 6th District station, which covers Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg.

A VEHICLE THEFT occurred, in the 8200 block of Collingdale Way—in the East Village community of Montgomery Village—between 12:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21.

A PEEPING TOM incident occurred in the 18400 block of Lost Knife Circle—in the Cider Mill apartment complex of Montgomery Village—on Tuesday, Aug. 21 at around 1:45 a.m. The suspect was peering into windows.

An ARMED ROBBERY occurred at Washington Grove Road and Midcounty Highway outside Gaithersburg at 3:25 pm. on Tuesday, Aug. 21. The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and took property.

  • Suspect 1 – black male, 18 to 23 years old, 5’6” to 5’9” tall, 145 pounds, short hair
  • Suspect 2 – black male, 18 to 23 years old, 5’4” to 5’5” tall, 200 to 210 pounds, short hair

Two THEFTS FROM A VEHICLE occurred in the 7200 block of Cliff Pine Drive outside Gaithersburg between 11 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 and 2:40 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24. Property taken included a watch, cash and a wallet.

A COMMERCIAL BURGLARY occurred at the construction site in the 7300 block of Muncaster Mill Road outside Gaithersburg between 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 and 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24.  Forced entry; property taken.

An AGGRAVATED ASSAULT occurred in the 9200 block of Chadburn Place—in the North Village community of Montgomery Village—just after 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon.

A VEHICLE THEFT occurred in the 9800 block of Hellingly Place—in the Christopher Court community of Montgomery Village—between Saturday, Aug. 25 and Sunday, Aug. 26.

A VEHICLE THEFT occurred in the 18900 block of Montgomery Village Avenue—next in the Montgomery Village Center—between 12:01 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 26.

A VEHICLE THEFT occurred in the 9800 block of Leatherfern Terrace—in the Park Place community of Montgomery Village—between Sunday, Aug. 26 and Monday, Aug. 27.

An ARMED ROBBERY occurred in the 10100 block of Little Pond Place—in the Heron’s Cove community of Montgomery Village—after midnight on Monday, Aug. 27. Three suspects threatened the victims with weapons and took property.

  • Suspect 1 – black male, 6’0”tall, dreadlocks and a red t-shirt
  • Suspect 2 – black male, all black clothing
  • Suspect 3 – black male

An AGGRAVATED ASSAULT occurred in the 9600 block of Brassie Way—in the Thomas Choice community of Montgomery Village—on Tuesday, Aug. 28 just after 4 pm. The suspect, a 25-year-old female, is known to the victim.

A STRONG-ARM ROBBERY occurred at around 5:20 pm on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at Hazelcrest Drive and Cottage Hill Court in Emory Grove. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.

  • Suspect – black male, 19 to 20 years old, 5’9” tall, 150 pounds, mustache
