Crime Report: GPS and Phone Chargers Stolen, Two Aggravated Assaults

This crime summary is from the weekly report for Sept. 17 through Sept. 25—the most recent available—from the Montgomery County Police Department's 6th District station, which covers Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg.

Several THEFTS FROM VEHICLES occurred on separate evenings in residential and commercial lots in which a GPS unit or cell phone charger was stolen: Walkers Choice, Horizon Run, and Russell Avenue.

An AGGRAVATED ASSAULT between known parties occurred in the 10600 block of Stedwick Road in the Stedwick community of Montgomery Village on Monday, Sept. 24 just after 9 p.m. Police arrested Joseph Demetrius Conteh, 19, of the 8800 block of Welbeck Way Montgomery Village. He is charged in Montgomery County District Court with one count each of first-degree assault and second-degree assault.

An AGGRAVATED ASSAULT occurred in the 19000 block of Mills Choice Road—in the Heron’s Cove community of Montgomery Village—on Monday, Sept. 24 between 10:20 p.m. and 10:40 p.m.
