Crime Report: Four Burglaries, Two Assaults

The following information was supplied by Montgomery County Police. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

This crime summary is from the weekly report for April 2 through April 10 from the Montgomery County Police Department's 6th District station, which covers Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg.

commercial burglary occurred at US Carpet and Tile, 8099 Snouffer School Road—near the Montgomery County Airpark— at an unknown time on Tuesday, April 3. Police arrested Kevin Bennett, 19, of an unknown address. He is charged with second-degree burglary and fourth-degree burglary. A preliminary hearing is set for May 4 in Montgomery County District Court.

Two thefts from vehicles occurred in the 9700 block of Shadow Oak Drive in Northgate overnight between Tuesday, April 3 and Wednesday, April 4.  No forced entry; loose items were taken.

residential burglary occurred at around 12:25 a.m. in the 10300 block of Royal Woods Court in Stedwick on Thursday, April 5. Forced entry; nothing taken. 

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 18100 block of Royal Bonnet Circle in South Village at around 12:30pm on Friday, April 6. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

An aggravated assault occurred outside of First Wok restaurant, 9615 Lost Knife Road — in the Off-Price shopping center in Montgomery Village — just before 2 a.m. on Saturday, April 7. Police arrested Rigoberto Bonilla-Velasquez 24, of an unknown address. He faces three counts of first-degree assault. A preliminary hearing is set for May 4 in Montgomery County District Court.

residential burglary occurred at 8:58 a.m. on Saturday, April 7 in the 9600 block of Horizon Run Road in Horizon Run. No further details available.

An aggravated assault occurred in the 10100 block of Ridgeline Drive in Clubside just before 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 7. The suspect is known to the victim. 

burglary occurred in the unit block of Hidden Fields Drive in Emory Grove on Sunday, April 8. No forced entry; property taken. Police arrested Ava Ricketts, 23, of Glenwood, Md. She faces 12 charges in Montgomery County District Court, including: one count of theft between $10,000 and $100,000; first-degree burglary; possession of a controlled dangerous substance; unlawfully taking a vehicle; and two counts of credit card theft. A preliminary hearing is set for May 4.
