Crime Report: Commercial and Residential Burglaries

The following information was supplied by Montgomery County Police. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

This crime summary combines three weekly reportsfrom Dec. 26 through Jan. 17for the Montgomery County Police Department's 6th District, which covers Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg.

Two thefts from vehicles occurred between Tuesday, Dec. 27 and Wednesday, Dec. 28. Parts were stolen from vehicles on Bonanza Way and Beechcraft Avenue near the Montgomery County Airpark were targeted.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 8400 block of Meadow Green Way outside Gaithersburg sometime between Dec. 28 and Jan. 7. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 20300 block of Seabrook Drive in Eastgate on Friday, Dec. 30 at 3:42 a.m. Unknown entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 18300 block of Streamside Drive in Flower Hill on Saturday, Dec. 31 around 10 p.m. Forced entry; unknown what was taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 18700 block of Nathans Place in South Village on Sunday, Jan. 1 between 7 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. No forced entry; property taken.

A theft occurred in the 17900 block of Cottonwood Terrace in Emory Grove on Tuesday, Jan. 3 just after 7 a.m. The suspect grabbed a purse from the victim’s vehicle and fled. The suspect is described as an 18- to 24-year-old male, 5’5” tall, 150 pounds, mustache, and wearing a red winter cap with a blue stripe, a black bomber jacket, a brown scarf and black jeans.

A residential burglary occurred in the 8000 block of Crabtree Place in Flower Hill on Tuesday, Jan. 3 around 6:25 pm.  Unknown entry; property taken.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 19100 block of Kinglet Place outside Gaithersburg on Thursday, Jan. 5 around 3:45 am. Unknown entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 100 block of Emory Woods Court in Emory Grove on Thursday, Jan. 5 between 8 am and 6 pm. Forced entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 8400 block of Meadow Green Way outside Gaithersburg on Thursday, Jan. 5 between 11:45 am and 12:50 pm. Forced entry; property taken.

in Gaithersburg on Saturday, Jan. 7 around 6:15 am. The victim was shot with a handgun during an altercation. A 19-year-old male from Rockville was arrested.

An aggravated assault of unknown origin occurred in the 18400 block of Lost Knife Circle in Montgomery Village on Sunday, Jan. 8 around 2:45 pm. The victim was assaulted by suspect, who fled.

A robbery occurred on Monday, Jan. 9, in the 10300 block of Watkins Mill Drive in Gaithersburg. The suspect assaulted the victim and obtained property.

, 9150 Rothbury Drive in Montgomery Village around 4 am on Jan. 13. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle in Montgomery Village on Friday, Jan. 13 between 2 pm and 11 pm. No forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 8100 block of Crabtree Lane in Flower Hill on Friday, Jan. 13 around 6 pm. Unknown entry; property taken. The suspect is described as a black male, 5’7” to 5’9” tall, 170 to 180 pounds and wearing a black hoodie and black pants.

An attempted burglary occurred in the 18500 block of Cherry Laurel Lane in Flower Hill between Friday, Jan. 13 at 9 pm and Saturday, Jan. 14 at 5 pm. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

A commercial burglary and auto theft occurred at the Extreme Car Wash, 8441 Snouffer School Road outside Gaithersburg, on Sunday, Jan. 15 around 1:45 am. Forced entry; property taken. A 17-year-old male from Gaithersburg was arrested.

A residential burglary occurred in the 100 block of Maple Road in Washington Grove on Sunday, Jan. 15 between 2 am and 2:45 am. No forced entry; property taken.
