Owls, Hawks and Eagle Lunchtime and Talk

·      Where:  Meadowside Nature Center, 5100 Meadowside Ln., Rockville

·      When:  Saturday, July 6, 12 p.m.

·      Description:  Visitors are invited to speak with a naturalist about birds of prey, 
and learn some of the stories about the raptors on exhibit. These talks will 
begin at the Raptor Walkway behind the Nature Center.

Wine and Painting Benefit for Mcpaw

·      Where:  Huckleberry Fine Arts 12051 Nebel Street, Rockville

·      When:  Friday, July 12, 7:30 p.m.

·      Description:  Painting, wine tasting and more.

·      Cost: $28

Jackie's Restaurant 3rd Annual BBQ & Bake-Off

·      Where:  Jackie's Restaurant, 8081 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring

·      When:  Sunday, July 7, 1 p.m.

·      Description:  BBQ, bake-off contest and more.

·      Cost: $20 per person, and kids under 10 eat free

13th Annual Autism Speaks 5K Run-1 Mile Walk

·      Where:  10101 Glenolden Dr. Potomac

·      When:  Thursday, July 4, 8 a.m.

·      Description:  13th Annual Autism Speaks 5K Run-1 Mile Walk in Potomac.  Register for the “Virtual 5k” (formerly known as “Run Anywhere”) and receive your technical shirt in advance.

Art Reception at The Artists' Gallery in Frederick

·      Where:  4 E. Church Street, Frederick

·      When:  Saturday, July 6, 5 p.m.

·      Description:  During her third solo exhibit at the Artists’ Gallery, Sherman reflects on her experiences during a spring trip to Peru and Equador.

·      Cost: Free

Bethesda Big Train Baseball Game

·      Where:  Friday, July 5, 7:30 – 10 p.m.

·      When:  10600 Westlake Dr., Bethesda

·      Description:  Shirley Povich Field in Cabin John Regional Park and all summer long and enjoy a night full of baseball and fun and affordable family entertainment as you watch the Bethesda Big Train of the Cal Ripken League.
