Grab & Go Kids Planner: March 18-20

Where to take your kids for a good time this weekend.

, Friday, March 18: 9:15–11:15 am. A great way children ages 5 and younger to burn energy, stop by for some fun with balls, hula hoops and riding toys (you may bring your own).  Parents must supervise their children at all times.

, Saturday and Sunday, March 19 and 20: Donate your small change for a big change. Help the Whole Foods Market in the Kentland’s raise money to eliminate poverty. Giving Grill Menu: Hot Dog Combo $3, Hamburger Combo $4, Veggie Hamburger Combo $4.

, Friday, March 18 Teens in Grades 6-9 can enjoy an evening of video games, table tennis, foosball, air hockey and more, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Stedwick Community Center. Members get in free; non-members pay $3 at the door.

, Saturday, March 19: Vendors and deals galore at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is free.

, Saturday, March 19: Dinner includes pasta with sauce, salad, French bread, fruit cup, tea and coffee. Funds help support the Laytonsville District Volunteer Fire Department. Adults $8, Kids $5, Children under 5 get in free. 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturday, March 19 and Sunday March 20: The Montgomery County Fairgrounds is hosting the 47th annual Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show of the Gem, Lapidary & Mineral Society of Montgomery County. Forty-five exhibits, demonstrations, a free workshop on cabochon polishing and more. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Adults $6, children under 12 and scouts in uniform get in free.

, Friday March 18 through Sunday, March 20: Northwest High School presents Hairspray. Tickets are $10 adults and $8 students (at the door).

Johns Hopkins University Present "Secrets" Daily until April 17: This year’s exhibition of mixed media art by high school students is based on the theme "Secrets." Two students from Gaithersburg High School won first and third place in the photography category.
