A pair of concerts hit the Lawn Theater as its summer series nears its close.

1. Rock Your Flip-Flops Off

When/Where: Friday from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Lawn Theater in , 18850 Montgomery Village Ave. (Parking lot is next to Watkins Mill Elementary School).

Why Go: The finale of this summer’s three Friday concerts brings Rock and Roll Relics to the big stage. The quartet, which once opened for the Beach Boys, keeps more than 100 rock classics in their repertoire, conjuring up favorites from street corner doo-wop to the British invasion to homegrown folk-rock.

2. Mini-Golf, Anyone?

When/Where: Bohrer Park at Summit Hall Farm, 510 S. Frederick Ave. (next to Gaithersburg High School). Open daily through Aug. 26 then on weekends through Oct. 9. The park opens at 11 a.m., and closes at 9 p.m. on weeknights and 10 p.m. on weekends.

Why Go: On Sunday, celebrate Friendship Day with buy-one-get-on-free specials. Birthday packages include admission, drinks, ice cream and paper products for $10 per child. An extra $5 per gets you into the Water Park next door.

Pricing: $5 per round for residents, $6 for non-residents. Play all you want for $2 more.

3. Out on the Lake

When/Where: Friday through Monday (until Labor Day), 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the south dock at , 18701 Montgomery Village Ave.

Why Go: Make the most of the by taking one of the Montgomery Village Foundation’s five paddle boats, four rowboats or four canoes out for a spin. Call 301-948-0110, Ext. 2303 for more information.

Pricing: Village residents who show their MVF Activity Card can rent canoes and rowboats for $5/hour, and paddle boats for $4/half-hour. Non-residents pay $2 more per rental. Renters without activity cards must present a valid driver’s license or other identification. Renters must be at least 16 years old.

When/Where: Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 9801 Centerway Road.

Why Go: Farm-fresh fruits and veggies, plus a wide array of meats and dairy products.

Pricing: Admission is free.

5. Germantown Community Flea Market

When/where: Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rt. 118 and Bowman Mill Drive in Germantown.

Why Go: More than 100 vendors selling everything from household goods to jewelry to electronics. Sponsored by the Germantown Historical Society. Call 301-972-2797 for inclement weather cancelation posted at 6 a.m.

Pricing: Admission is free.

6. Summer Concert Series: Flower Hill String Band

When/Where: Sunday, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Lawn Theater in , 18850 Montgomery Village Ave. (Parking lot is next to Watkins Mill Elementary School).

Why Go: This bluegrass act based around Dave Adams and his teenage daughters brings “homespun flavor from the American heartland.”

Pricing: Free. (Call 301-948-0110, ext. 2334 after 5 p.m. Sunday to see if the concert has been rained out.)
