Volunteers are needed at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, 9100 Gaither Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. Habitat ReStore is a non-profit thrift store that sells new and gently used furniture, home décor, building supplies and materials at drastically reduced prices. Proceeds are used to fund affordable housing in the local metro area.
Volunteers will assist with all aspects of a retail store, including:
Assisting customers
Helping customers to their vehicle with heavy purchases
Organizing and store displays
Maintaining store appearance.
In addition, volunteers also can assist with administrative duties. Shifts are daily (except Sunday) from either 9am - 1pm, 1pm-5pm, or both shifts may be completed in one day if you so desire. We are SSL certified, so students can complete their hours at the ReStore. To sign up, please visithttp://habitatmm.org/restore-volunteer, or phone (301) 947-3304.
