James Ricciuti, chef and owner of Ricciuti’s local foods restaurant in Olney, will be using meats and produce from county farmers to create a memorable meal.  He comments, “As a chef, I believe in serving the freshest food which can only come from the farms closest to a restaurant.  My restaurant is fortunate to be close to many farms in Montgomery County which makes it easier to keep our dollars close to home.  I can visit farms, meet the growers, and see, touch and taste the food in the fields.”

Learn about local agriculture.  Meet local farmers.  Learn more about your local food sources.  Visit information booths that will educate and raise awareness of agricultural initiatives in the county.  Lonnie Luther, President of the MCFB, says the “MCFB is excited to host this event.  This is an opportunity for our farmers to showcase their businesses, and local consumers to experience some superb home grown foods, prepared by a great chef! MCFB hopes our county residents will gain awareness of the tremendous agriculture activities right next door.”

Tickets cost $40.00 each.  To order your ticket, contact Kathy Lyons at kmhlyons@aol.com or obtain an order form online at http://www.mdfarmbureau.com/Montgomery.asp.  This adult only event is not a fundraiser.
