Germantown Company to Supply Broadband Satellite Coverage for Federal Program

U.S. Environmental Protection program, RadNet, monitors radiation levels in drinking water, milk.

 

Germantown-based company Hughes Network Systems will provide satellite broadband service for a federal program that monitors radiation in the air, water and milk, the company announced Tuesday.

Hughes will provide 50 sites with 12 months of satellite broadband service for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency program, called RadNet.

RadNet monitors radiation levels of air, drinking water, pasteurized milk and precipitation across the United States.
