This crime summary is from the weekly report for Oct. 8 through Oct. 16—the most recent available—from the Montgomery County Police Department's 6th District station, which covers Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg.

A COMMERCIAL BURGLARY occurred at Public Storage, 370 Christopher Avenue in Gaithersburg, between midnight and 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9. Forced entry; unknown what was taken.

A COMMERCIAL BURGLARY occurred at the Public Storage, 19900 Goshen Road. Twelve storage units were broken into at around 2:50 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9. Unknown what was taken.

An attempted RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY and THEFT FROM VEHICLE occurred in the 9800 block of Islandside Drive in Montgomery Village. A diamond ring and sunglasses were taken from a car sometime between 11 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 and 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12. No forced entry. Attempted forced entry into residence. 

A RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY occurred in the 19800 block of Falling Spring Drive—east of the Hadley Farms community outside Montgomery Village—sometime between Thursday, Oct. 11 and Sunday, Oct. 14. No forced entry; undisclosed property taken.

An ARMED ROBBERY occurred in the 9200 block of Chadburn Place in Montgomery Village at around 11:35 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12. Two suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property. The first suspect is described as a black male with dreadlocks, 25 to 30 years old, 5’9” tall, weighing 200 to 300 pounds. The second suspect is described as a black male 25 to 30 years old, 5’6” tall, wearing a black mask and red coat.

An AGGRAVATED ASSAULT occurred in the 18500 block of Boysenberry Drive in Montgomery Village at around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13. A 34-year-old Montgomery Village man—who is known to the victim—was arrested.
